Carmel Windows (3 focals )
Well, you don't have to use them as focals, you can make a really hip chunky bracelet out of these, or something else altogether, but those quandaries are up to you!

The foggy weather got me going on some pretty jewel like fall colors; rich amber, dark topaz, ink blue, amethyst and dark ivory!

They are hand-shaped and all have a transparent window in the middle, framed by dark ivory glass, then decorated with some coordinating color dots and goldstone stringer. The very bottom picture on this page, if you scroll all the way down, shows the window-beads backlit - so you can see the transparent glass in its glory.

These beads were pretty challenging to me, and although I always strive for perfection, they have slightly unevenly placed dots and wobbly stringer. I was probably so exhausted after getting the window right, that I couldn't see quite straight! Don't get me wrong- they are very nice beads, but they are not perfect. I'm selling them because I just think they are too cool to lay around in my bead box. Call them charmingly hand made!

Also, check out my other auction that has a coordinating set of Saturn beads, lentils and other goodies!!!

Thank You for looking!

MY LAMPWORK
I use Italian Effetre (also called Moretti) and German Lauscha glass to create these handmade lampwork beads in my studio perched on a hill above the beautiful Monterey Bay in California.

I follow my creativity as I make the designs,  and if you see a design you like, bid accordingly as I don't know when the bead muses will inspire me to remake that design. (And I am so busy with special orders, that I rarely even get to put a set up here.)

I carefully create each bead over an open flame, it is then kiln annealed overnight in a digitally controlled kiln, and each bead hole is cleaned individually with a diamond drill bur.

You are bidding on the strand pictured. Photos are enlarged to show detail, a ruler is handy to gauge the size of these beads.  Questions? Feel free to email, I love to hear from you!
