 Sunken Treasure (15 beads)
In Greek mythology Amphitrite is a Sea Goddess and the wife of Poseidon. These beads I imagine something Poseidon would give his Amphitrite as a treasure...  Lot of detailed work and encased stringers on a beautifully variegated blue base with mottled colors in verdigris, denim, and turquoise with sprinkled aqua transparent dots catching the light and light ink blue swirls. This is probably as organic as I will ever get- as you can see - not very!

I first made a necklace for myself with the first set of beads that I made from this style - I simply couldn't part with the beads. To see the necklace - check out my website (the link to it is on the About Me page.)

There are 8 round beads with raised stringer decoration, all with geometric patterns - the complementing 7 lentils all have swirl patterns and dots following the swirls. As you can see on the close up- the aqua dots are slightly sunk into the  lentil, adding s subtle texture to the entire bead. These beads could easily be mixed and matched or split up in lentils and rounds.

SIZES
You are looking at 15 lampwork glass beads, The round beads are approximately 11 mm from hole to hole and 12-13 mm in diameter, the lentils about 15 mm hole to hole and 9 mm thick; all made on 1/16th inch mandrels. The entire strand measures just over  six inches. 8 round beads with raised stringer decorations and dots, and seven lentils, in matching colors.

MY LAMPWORK
I use Italian Effetre (also called Moretti) and German Lauscha glass to create these handmade lampwork beads in my studio perched on a hill above the beautiful Monterey Bay in California.

I follow my creativity as I make the designs,  and if you see a design you like, bid accordingly as I don't know when the bead muses will inspire me to remake that design. (And I am so busy with special orders, that I rarely even get to put a set up here.)

I carefully create each bead over an open flame, it is then kiln annealed overnight in a digitally controlled kiln, and each bead hole is cleaned individually with a diamond drill bur.

You are bidding on the strand pictured. Photos are enlarged to show detail, a ruler is handy to gauge the size of these beads.  Questions? Feel free to email, I love to hear from you!
