 Double Frustum (15 beads) 
An all new shape-Oh, I just love it! This bead is a blast to make and a thrill to look at! First I wanted to name it Double Chitchen Itza, after the Pyramids in Mexico, but that was just too obscure - I don't expect you to brush up on your geography before browsing beads on Ebay...ah... but you should have brushed up on your geometry...so much better huh! So I'll give it to you here "A frustum is defined as a cone or pyramid with its pointy tip cut off." And that's what you have, two of them bottom to bottom in each bead. A very cool shape I just love to decorate. I actually squealed with delight when I made my first bead in this shape.

15 finely decorated  beads in sandy khaki,  and dark burgundy-brown with touches of ivory, clear and black. Very elegant in both shape and colors.

SIZES
You are looking at 15 lampwork glass beads, The beads are 12 mm by 12 mm and are all made on 1/16th inch mandrels   The strand is just about 8 inches long (not including the clear glass spacers- which however are included in the auction. )

MY LAMPWORK
I use Italian Effetre (also called Moretti) and German Lauscha glass to create these handmade lampwork beads in my studio perched on a hill above the beautiful Monterey Bay in California.

I follow my creativity as I make the designs,  and if you see a design you like, bid accordingly as I don't know when the bead muses will inspire me to remake that design. (And I am so busy with special orders, that I rarely even get to put a set up here.)

I carefully create each bead over an open flame, it is then kiln annealed overnight in a digitally controlled kiln, and each bead hole is cleaned individually with a diamond drill bur.
