Manuel's 80th Birthday The buffet (one of the two)
Cacti behind the buffet... (I just loved how the light hit them.)
The salsa band Escarga, they were really swinging!
The patio before most of the guests arrived.
Some of the flowers...we just used a mix of colorful roses and gerbera daisies. Manuel loves color and we just kept it bright.
Here's the birthday boy while the Mariachis (only two on the picture, but I think there were seven of them...never really got a good picture of the whole gang) are playing happy birthday.
Ah... more food! Chips, salsas, guacamole, quesadillas, chile verde, refried beans, cevice, chimichanga, chipotle chicken skewers, honey chipotle wings, flautas and fruit salad.
Oh... and a cake of course...
And the guests photographing the cake cutting and the birthday boy!
It was a lot of fun, and there was even a belly dancer there as a special surprise... We couldn't have asked for better weather either!
And not a morsel of cake was left over... I was going to go back for a second little piece (I figured that pregnant and all, I can allow myself a second little slice) but I guess I wasn't the only one who liked the cake!
