Krag-MUDD
- My favorite bead release is KRAG MUDD from Kittrell-Riffkind. I used to
mix my own, but I have to say - this one is better! About $9 per jar- plus
shipping. Mixing your own is definitely CHEAPER, but if you want MINIMUM
residue release for transparent beads- this is the cat's meow!
Daniel Lopaki The best
drill-bits I have found. They are not expensive - just a couple of bucks
each, and he has LONG drillbits, so you can clean LONG beads...VERY COOL!
I'm very happy with them!
Bead
Shaping
Corina's Mall-Corina developed her CBS system for bead shaping stamps.
This is my favorite bead shaping tools so far. She also has a very neat
little Magic Wand, which is sort of like the Stump-Shaper, but smaller. For
us who make smaller beads - this is a must have!
Zoozii's - Very cool bead shaping
stamps - a different system than the CBS. Has many shapes at good prices.
Coliebug - I'm eying the Hex
stamp!!! Looks similar to Zoozii's- haven't tried this one yet - it is on
its way to me!!!
Fun
Mandrels!

Beaddock
Glass
Olympic Color -Great
source for Kugler, Reichenbach and Zimmermann glass - sells frit mostly in
larger quantities.
Frantz Art Glass -The ultimate
source for Effetre glass - I just think their site is a bit clunky.
Glass Craft Inc. -One of my sources for glass and miscellaneous other
stuff
Glass Daddy - My source for Lauscha -I use the Lauscha Clear for my
encasing.
Other
Stuff
RioGrande
Aura Lens-This is where I got my eye
protection. They have a bunch of other good stuff too!
GLASS
and METAL ARTISTS
(that I admire...in no
particular order...and this is NOT an all encompassing list yet...or
probably ever...)
Corinabeads
- Corina Tettinger is a wonderful bead artist, teacher, author, web presence
extraordinaire AND a really nice funny person.
Kristina Logan - I really admire
Kristina's work, although I have never met her in person. I love the way she
combines glass and metal...and her teapots are to die for!
Alicia Abla - Great beads and metal
artist. Fun and creative stuff! I love her loose styel.
Dustin Tabor - Glass artist
extraordinaire....
Jill Symons - I believe Jill uses exclusively Lauscha glass. Her work really
shows off the GLASS itself. Beautiful!
Jennifer Geldard-Beautiful beads, very creative, uses lots of enamels....
Michele Goldstein(meesh)-Fun
website - great work!
Amy Trescott (Forever Grateful beads)-Exquisite beads!
Lynn Guenther-Wonderful
metal artist, and the catalyst that inspired me to take metal arts classes.
Deborah Lozier-Torch
fire enamel and metal artist represented by the Velvet da Vinci gallery in
San Francisco.
Darlene Balkcum -Very pretty eye
candy...both beads and jewelry!
ah...there are so many
great artists out there that I admire...I haven't even begun to skim the tip
of the mountain....
SCHTUFF...
(my day-jobs, family and
friends...
and other stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else...)
Redjellyfish-
Great company that provides long distance phone and internet access services
that helps promote a green planet. (It
has a REALLY great website, and I'm very proud to say I helped start up this
website/company.)
Jardines de San Juan - The most beautiful Mexican restaurant I know. Wonderful
gardens, the ultimate spot for a Margarita in the shade a lush garden
patio, in San Juan Bautista, one of California's 21 mission towns.
Manuel's Mexican Restaurant-Website still under construction - but the best Mexican
food in Santa Cruz. (831) 688-4848 for reservations.
Manuel Santana - Cosmic artist, painter, sculptor, restaurateur, visionary,
and my dear father-in-law...
